| Welcome from Melissa Tarun! I am a work-at-home “Mom-preneur.” Sweetest Whimsy is my company, my "baby," raised by trial-and-error over the years while doing the things I love most!
Sweetest Whimsy began in 1998 as Sweet Whimsy in Austin, Texas, when I began to design custom birthday and party cakes for my friends; my business soon grew to encompass wedding cakes, specialty confections, and catering for private parties. That same year I became a Wilton Method Cake Decorating Instructor and over the next five years, I would teach over 500 students how to create their own celebration cakes!

| In 2005, I decided to expand my business to offer my customers personalized printed invitations and accessories for their special events; the Sweet Whimsy by Melissa Tarun website was born, featuring quality invitations and gifts. In 2007, the business acquired the new name of Sweetest Whimsy and a new website. Sweetest Whimsy is now based in the San Antonio area of Texas. My newest creative venture is a joy!
