CUSTOM DESIGN

I love creating 2-D and 3-D cakes for all occasions, and particularly cakes for children! Designs can be scaled down or adapted in a size to suit your celebration. I am also happy to work with you to keep you within your budget. All cakes are individually priced because no two cakes are ever alike. I look forward to helping you celebrate birthdays, showers, weddings, graduations, milestones and other special occasions.

Do you have an idea in your head of how you`d like your cake to look? Is there a party theme or color scheme you`d like me to work with? I`ve created many cakes from the merest of ideas or sketches, to match party invitations, and complement favorite colors! Please view my online cake gallery and blog for some design ideas.

Your cake is YOUR CAKE-- I strive to make each cake a unique experience for that special occasion. No one else will ever have the same exact cake from Sweetest Whimsy as you do!
 
RESERVING THE DATE

A minimum of 5 days lead time is required for a non-wedding custom cake order. This is because several days may be needed to create and assemble your cake. I do not pre-bake cakes; each cake is baked as orders come in with the freshest of ingredients.

CAKE PRICING

Prices for cakes are based on a variety of factors, such as whether it is a 2D or 3D design, amount of detail and construction involved, number of servings, types of ingredients, etc. Therefore, it is impossible to produce an exact price list! In general, party cakes average between $1.50 to $2 per slice.

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS

$10 deposit is required to reserve your date (may be paid in person, over the phone or online).
Balance is due when you pick up your cake or upon delivery
on your order in order to guarantee your reservation.

Multi-tiered cakes (ie. Weddings) requiring delivery or onsite assembly require a $50.00 non-refundable deposit, and the balance must be paid in full 1 week prior to event.

CANCELLATIONS

I understand that plans change when celebrations are concerned! 14 days before the event date: 100% refund of deposit Less than 14 days prior to event date: no refund of deposit

 
PICK UP OR DELIVERY

Cakes may be picked up by appointment only. Sweetest Whimsy does not assume responsibility for the cake once it is picked up. I recommend picking up your cake in an air-conditioned vehicle with space for the cake to laid absolutely flat (ie. floor or trunk of car). Buttercream frosting will melt in warm temperatures or high humidity. Refrigeration is recommended in warm temperatures if cake is not to be served immediately. Delivery may be available for an additional fee; please inquire when you place your order. For multi-tiered cakes or other cake designs requiring onsite-assembly, delivery is included with the $50 non-refundable deposit.
